Our Goal
Re-Imagine Scholarship is a program supported by the West Virginia-based grassroots organization named 44 College Ready Foundation, Inc. The goal of the Re-Imagine Scholarship is to add cultural and economic diversity to the wealth portfolios of small communities. We believe financial literacy, networking and seed money are the resources our next generation need to be able to imagine their own future wealth.

Re-Imagine Scholarship is designed to encourage teenagers to build their own scholarship by investing a minimum of $10 a month for 10 months into their own savings account. The scholarship program will match the student's $100 contribution annually. Re-Imagine Scholarship participants will also have the chance to earn and deposit additional money into their savings account. With monthly minimal deposits, the participants will have the opportunity to earn and save at least $400; however, there is no limit as to how much the participant can save and withdraw upon high school graduation. Potentially, a 4-year Re-Imagine Scholarship participant can earn and save $1,000 by their senior year. Re-Imagine Scholarship participants will withdraw their money in May of their senior year. The hope is to encourage youngsters to have starter money to attend college or to start a small business upon high school graduation.
